History of We Speak Colors - Temperament Workshops
The Color By Design approach is the understanding that God created each of us with a particular way in which we process the world around us and think. This approach and delivery is firmly based on the True Colours facilitation that Jessie Perez is certified to provide. We did not invent True Colours, but we teach it as the exclusive method - because it really works! True Colours is based on centuries of understanding temperament and builds on some other well know temperament tests with which you may already be familiar. While other assessments based on the same science are accurate as well, the big difference is that other assessments provide only static assessment results, while the Color By Design approach actually teaches you how to use your results in real life, everyday situations that really matter, from the important perspective of God's design.
As a participant, you will come to understand your innate strengths and the strengths of others. You will understand stress and how to deal with it the right way. You will see people who aren't like you in new and compassionate ways. You will be changed.
You will also develop an appreciation for the differences of others through the introduction to a temperament toolset. Q: Can you do virtual workshops?
A: In some cases we can do virtual workshops. In order for this format to be successful, properly placed webcams, and an on-site internal member much be willing to assist with supplementary aspects of facilitation. If all members are virtual, please reach out so we can assess your individual technology capabilities to see if a virtual session could work for you.
Q: Is this similar to Enneagram or Myers Briggs?
A: True Colours and Enneagram both came from the same science that gave us Myers Briggs assessments back in mid-1900s, which it itself has a scientific genealogy of its predecessors followed back hundreds of years to the times of Hippocrates. The science isn't new, it has just been refined to help people more easily understand it.
Q: What if I want to do the assessment but I don't have a group, can I still take the test?
A: There are a number of free tests and assessments on the internet today. WSC believes in giving you something you can actually use, rather than just the results of yet another assessment. That is why WSC pairs each assessment with personalized training so you can start using what you learned about yourself and others right away in everyday life (both personally and professionally).
